Panelists offer advice on productivity, parenting under lockdown, and mental well-being, with more webcasts planned.
As part of Nature’s efforts to help scientists to manage their working lives during the coronavirus pandemic and lockdowns, Nature Careers has started a series of webcasts in which researchers can ask questions and share their experiences with expert panelists and their peers.
The first webcast focused on time management and staying motivated while working from home. It featured graduate student Melina Papalampropoulou-Tsiridou, postdoctoral researcher Atma Ivancevic, and scientific-careers consultant Sarah Blackford.
The live webinar took place on 27 May. You can find the video of the Q&A session and individual talks, alongside speaker affiliations, here.
Our next webcast takes place at 4 p.m. BST on 1 July and will look at lessons learned by researchers who are juggling parenting and home-schooling responsibilities alongside the demands of working from home. Sign up here.
Our third webcast, at 4 p.m. BST on 17 July, will focus on mental health and self-care during the pandemic. You can sign up here.
